My 5 month old sphynx kitten has a hairy tail.
I have shown her once in CFA and will show her for the first time in TICA this weekend.
Do you think she has any chance of doing ok with a tail like that?
I do plan on getting a good show quality sphynx later on.

Obviously the more hairless the cat, the higher the impression the judge will have on the cat. However, sphynx are permissed to have hair on their tails. The more hair, the less the preference for it.

Precisely. To be more specific, they'd prefer a sphynx with a tuft of fur at the tip of its tail instead of the entire tail being furred.

It is allowed but not good at the shows when another sphynx has a bald tail.

I should hope they aren't judging only on her tail, though! If hair is allowed, can they still deduct points for it?

Plus, she might have a better ear set than the other sphynx...you just can't tell until you put her in.

Good luck this weekend!

Good luck M2M!

 I can't imagine being a judge- I'd order all the sphynx to get ribbons!. :Hysterical:
