<Hi everyone!

Zino loves to be outside with us, but since we are only one hedge away from a main street (Apartment house that the property is NOT fenced in: Long story short, everyone who owns an apartment has to agree on a fence and then we all have to pay for a part of it IF we want a fence all the way around) he goes out with us on a harness and leash. It is however a DOG harness since its one you can put on him like a jacket and its held together with a clip and velcro. I'll try to find a picture later. its an XS in size

WE are now having a small problem, he can back out of the harness AND its adjusted as tight as it can be ( no too tight spots in the armpits or around the neck), which when we are just in our yard is okay, but we are thinking about starting motorhome camping (We are trying it alone first with a rental camper that allows pets) as a vacation idea but, we need a new idea for a harness since he will not be allowed to run loose, just like at home.

Does anyone have recommendations for a good and safe harness?

And does anyone here who might take their Sphnyx in a motorhome have idea of where and how to put a litterbox in the motorhome?, when underway he won't be loose, but afterwards?

We want to be able to take him with us, instead of always boarding him out when we are on vacation.

Kelly

Ps: he does not panic in the harness. He actually just one time moved to see where the neighbors free roaming cat was and he accidentally wiggled out of the harness. After that, well he knew exactly HOW to do it... and when he wants to here goes the Houdini act!

We use this one size XS

How much does your baby weigh? Our boys are 8 and 10 pounds and it fits both well and neither has backed out of it.

If your baby is really tiny you can possibly look into a ferret harness? @kellyannallen

So helpful. Thought about an RV to go on vacation but thinking I would be too scared to open the door to leave. Need to train all 3 first i guess. Two are 13 and furry. Wish me luck. !!!!

Harness recommends for Raven, 18 years old. furbaby cat, 9.7 lbs who is extremely squirmy and fast and will probably try to back out of?
@Catzzzmeow the voyager step in air dog harness ? you shared above. I see you noted you got the XS. wondering if I should try an XS or S?
checking amazon and amazon warehouse

long story after I have been taking care of her since 2006. was a very upsetting day 2 days ago.

(some may recall, she was showed up jumping out of a furniture delivery truck and owner refused to come get her. I have taken care of her ever since for years vaccinations, etc.)

I tried to measure her but she was really not having it. need a quick on and off harness I can "try" to get her used to. this is going to be super challenging. she is very squirrely . loves to be petted , brushed , ears cleaned but NOT handled

I know non are "escape proof".

suggestions too for harnesses to stay away from?
years ago with my bengal cats they got out of the "come with me kitty harness" luckily was in my fenced back yard and grabbed him quickly. so I am a little nervous about what will work best for her.

**update, I ordered the voyager step in air harness catzzzmeow shared. I ordered the XS. one of the answers by manufacturer only recommend XS for cats.
wish me and Raven luck.

@Catzzzmeow It is going to be a challenge beyond words. She is 18 yrs old and we had a routine. I Have to try my best. Coyote in neighs yard supposedly. First it was a racoon and then turned into coyote. Who knows. Too much drama in this neighborhood.
...and code enforcement reached under my jeep and scruffed raven holding her in the air being mean and threw her in cage in her truck. She was jiatvoitcwith me n boo
I just happened to be walking boo. Actually waved to him before hand driving thru
I came around corner with boo and saw him on my property taking her! I told him he is mine I have her shot records from 2 weeks ago as well as microchip appt. Thurs. He was an ass. Shelter Mgr said he is new and brags about being a supervisor pulling his weight. So now have to come up with a other plan after all these years. I really don't think Har ess is going to work at all but I will try. My neighbor said in past she is only alive bcz he let's her live.meanwhile his pittie always loose and even in garage
This neighhood sucks for drama
Let's hope harness training goes well.

Just be consistent and hopefully she comes around to tolerating it. But agree it might be hard to start at this age.

Voyager step in air dog harness xs came today
Had to wrangler her in it however much easier with its step in design and velcro and snap on top with double metal leash hook. Glad I took your advise XS size. She is 9.7 lbs furbaby. Bigger than I thought so glad did not go bigger. Wish me luck. It's been 45 minutes into training on pool lanai
High value treats praise and gunnar puppy leather leash so she didn't fall in the pool. She relaxed on her scratching chair. When I took pups out to pee she got up and walked with it on to follow
I kept her in and played with her with harness on. Now she is sleeping on her side with it on

At first she tried to bsck out of the harn3ss with one leg thru . I held leash straight up trick* and put her leg back in. Now letting her walk in pool lanai with it on supervised only of course.

@Catzzzmeow , baby steps. Progress first day , first hour with Raven. Hoping tomorrow goes as well.
trick has been to hold leash up and pet her. took her down the side of house where she always walks with me and the aussies to the tree. I held leash up and distracted her playing with a stick. Then pet and praise and she walked back to the pool door. glad I got the XS size. she could still get one leg paw thru the arm hole when we practiced on pool lanai. so trick to hold leash straight up.
