Has anyone seen something like this before?

We do have a specialist appointment, but it’s not for a few months, let me start by saying. My 6 year old baby Lentil has eosinophilic granuloma complex. He has done well with regular medicated baths and hydrolyzed food. He received a steroid shot mid May, and only recently this lesion appeared. Has anyone else seen anything like this? Thanks!

I can’t say I have seen this. How long have they had it and is it changing in size?

About two weeks ago it became dimpled like this.

sharing, ask your vet if it is "dimpling" sometimes called "steroid dent" from the steroid shot. Email photos to his vet?

I am not a vet, not sure if it is the same for cats as in humans.I had steroid shots and got dimpling indent that went away in a few months. The steroid shot was on my elbow got a very similar looking dent.

is that the spot between his shoulders where he had the steroid shot? hugs n head smooches

Yoda mom, I think you are right! I get cortisone shots in my knees, but they are pretty boney, so it never occurred to me, but now that I looked it up you are probably right. It’s the correct location between his shoulder blades. Thank you! I’ll bring it up with the vet!

I’d be curious to know if it it a direct result of the meds as well. Let us know what the vet says!
