Hello all,
A few months ago Aleister was diagnosed with asthma and he has been doing well on the inhaler. However, I recently looked into feline heart disease and I'm scared that he might have some symptoms of HCM. We had several x-rays done on him, and the radiographer said that his heart was slightly enlarged with a prominence in the left atrium. They said they thought it was a physical anomaly and not particularly heart disease. They still recommended I could see a specialist and get an ECG or an echocardiograph done. Aleister is 5 years old, which seems to be a normal age to be diagnosed with heart disease. They vet didn't seem particularly worried about it, but I just want to make sure he's ok. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
