All three of my sphynx are going in for HCM scans today. After their scans, they're each getting dentals. This will be the first time that they've all three been sedated, so (don't tell them ) they're all getting microchipped too.

Wish us luck!

Good luck! Will they be getting a special treat afetr all that?! X

What do you mean "special treatment"?! These cats are spoiled beyond belief! They're just short of going to have a red carpet rolled out for them today. A specialist is being brought in to do the echos, the entire staff (of 20) loves them and my closest friend (and choice veterinarian) for these guys is getting to meet Buffy for the first time, see Buck again and see how much Baldwin has grown since his kitten shots. The attention they're going to get today might mean they'd want to stay overnight or longer! I'm sure everyone'll break out the picture and video cameras so they can get their "lasting memory" of my Nudist Colony.

They aren't spoiled a BIT!

Good luck! There is a homeopathic cell salt you can give them to help them out of the "fog" safely and quickly. We've used it with numerous pets as well as family and friends. I can't think of the name off hand but if you're interested let me know and I will get the name for you. The worst part of an surgery is the anestesia for both animals and people.

Thank you for the consideration, but we use isoflurane gas to mask down and maintain. They wake within 2 minutes of cessation of anesthesia and are fully awake and ready to go home within 10.

I was at the clinic for 4 hours today during which time I had 3 echos done, had 3 dentals done and went out for an hour lunch with a close friend of mine.

We're completely HCM negative here!! WOOO HOOOO!!!!
