my sister lives in japan. she teaches english. she just told me about a japanese phrase that basically means, "so weird it is cute"- kimo kawaii. totally perfect! so, my new kitten's name is kimo kawaii. LOVE IT!

lol yea, i laughed at that, too. it's *slightly* different, but not the sort of difference most people will be able to notice.

i remember when we lived in okinawa as kids. the little old japanese ladies would come up and pinch our cheeks (especially my baby sister), and say "oh, kawaii, kawaii!" (cute, cute!).

"Haji" is short for the japanese word "hajimema****e" ～ha-gee-meh-mah-she-teh- and means "how do you do" or "pleased to meet you" It's way way of greeting someone.
