Hi, my kitten Sekhmet is 8months old female.
I’ve post up few treads before.
She has some issues :(
She used to have Applaws kitten dry food but after she sprayed, she changed to Royal Canin sterilised kitten food.
She was okay with that but like on her 3rd package or 2kg, she suddenly having some red spots on her body.
So we changed her food to Royal canin kitten.
And used Douxo Pyo shampoo.
After that the red spots calmed down.
But suddenly, she had diarrhoea with the royal canin kitten recently.
So she is on her blend diet (boiled chicken and fish).
I guess it’s because of the grain in the Royal Canin? Not sure.
Anyway, I am thinking to change her food to True Instinct kitten dry food or raw diet.
But I am worrying about the nutrition for the raw diet.
In addition, she has serious blemish (added photos). She had bath on Thursday and super dirty already.
The one with the black thing was always there but I got bigger and the left side of her lips got yellowish pimple from today.
I wipe her face and chin everyday at least twice.
I don’t know why it gets worse.
She produces a lot of oil so she needs more than just warm water I guess.
And the black heads never gone off
Plus, she has super brownish lips/chin sometime, even though she didn’t eat anything.
For example, after the bath she is super clean and after the nap, she has super serious brown lips.(added photos)
And around her lips, there are black oily stuff on her little hair.
It’s really hard to rid of it.
Thank you for reading.

Anyway, I am gonna book an appointment for a vet tomorrow, but still I want to hear about the sphynxlair’s members.
Please help me!!
Thank you.

If you can switch to raw that is the way to do it. Start with only feeding a novel protein like duck, rabbit or lamb.

The vet suggested me to feed her boiled chicken or fish for 5days with probiotics.
She is getting better with the diarrhoea.
And since I stopped giving her the Royal Canin, her skin got better immediately.
I think royal canin is not suitable for her sadly.
I still have royal canin kitten dry food quiet a lot.
If anyone wants the Royal canin dry food in London, I can give it for free.
I am in South London, so if your kitten is okay for it please contact me.
I don’t want to waste of the food.

My kitty Binky uses to eat applaws and after a year of eating it she took an allergic reaction, I have to feed specific allergen food! Have you asked the vet what foods to try? Yeah I used to bulk buy food but until there settled for a while I would only buy what you need as it could be trial and error for a while!

This is the food I buy Binky it’s like £21, I know it’s expensive but she eats it with no waste and vet bills so worth it! You also get a wet version! Have you thought about a allergy test and poop test?

Thank you for letting me know!
I didn’t think about the allergy test.
Can I ask how much you paid for the allergy test?
My vet is Vets4pets, I should definitely ask to my vet.
But my vet is only doing the phone call counselling only at the moment because of the Covid19 :(
Probably I need to wait for few weeks to do the test.

She was having diarrhoea, so she is on her blend diet.
I started mixing up chicken and dry food with probiotics (Pro Kolin).
My vet recommended me the brand.

I decided to give her True instinct kitten dry food and natures menu kitten wet food.
She seems okay with the food for now.
But, I need to keep on monitor her

Bless, yeah my kitty was on chicken and rice diet for a while and pro kolin. I can’t remember exactly how much the allergy and poop tests were, I know it wasn’t cheap, my vet is also vets4pets up here in Glasgow, there still doing appointments but you can’t go in with you kitty. Do have her insured? As that would maybe help pay for it.

Binky had lots of tummy issues as a kitten and we got her poop tested she had a virus and parasites in her tummy we treated that then she developed allergies. Even having a blood test the vet can see if the kitty is fighting an infection. I would consider having the poop test if she continues to have diarrhoea.
