I wash her once a week. It’s hard to tell from the pic but it’s almost like flat blistered area or some kind of strange rash. My vet thinks it’s allergies but I don’t see how allergies would show like on her face. I brought her to the vet for six weeks for a cortisone shot each week it helped a little to clear it up but now it’s back again. I am at a lose as to what to do now.

Hmmm... I'm no vet nor a pro however I understand the frustration of not having results or answers!

I wanted to share this with you... they are natural antibiotics for animals. I take a holistic approach to myself with medicine and turned to this and it helped my kitty with an infection until I could get her surgery.

I used this as last resort and it was surprising how much it helped.

It's called: Golden Paw, natural antibiotic for pets cats and dogs alike. The serving depends on the animals weight. It's all around health benefits.

Just wanted to be transparent typical vets don't like this medicine because they say certain ingredients like garlic are toxic to cats. I just want to say how much it maddens me to hear resistance from vets or people like this. This is all anti lobbying to me.

My vet told me I could have given my cat salmonella poisoning because I fed her raw. Ugh. I can't even get started.

Fact is food is medicine.

Anyways... this antibiotic kept a series uterine infection at bay until I could get her scheduled for surgery.

Also wanted to add- I asked a question to this forum recently and someone asked me about detergents, changes of litter, food... ect?? Could he/she be rubbing against anything?

Thinking of you and your bb

@Laurel , does your baby rub on things? my batman rubs his head on the dogs chew bone of all things , scratching pad etc and gets marks in this area. many of us use non toxic vetericyn spray. my vet sells it, I get online. I wet it on flat cotton rounds and gently dab area not to get into eyes.

did vet do skin scraping to rule out yeast/bacteria?

any change of food recently?

My apologies, they can be allergic to any number of things. My girl is allergic to everything! If the cortisone injections helped to clear the allergy, I might suggest a dermatologist visit. One that specializes in allergies and allergy injections. Agnes had severe allergies and would break out in horrible rashes that were raised, red and yeasty. I have since started her on allergy injections and she is so much improved. (I am a hesitant one to give steroids long term to cats due to the side effects) I have also switched her food to Royal Canin Ultamino. I was hesitant to change to a prescription diet but after several months of allergy serum injections she was still having the breakouts. The food is specifically formulated for skin/allergy issues and since changing her skin is 1000% better.
