Help! My sphynx has 'scars' all over but I think they're something else!

Is my kitten poorly?

What are the plans for your visit tomorrow that they did not do today? I would be sure to scrutinize the bill and make sure they do not slip in extra fees for another visit if it could have been covered today. Gaga is in a great home...document everything and try to stay positive and open to the breeder so they do not close down on you. They might just help if they do not feel cornered.

Her color looks like diluted tortie markings. I wouldn't send her back! Good call on your part. Let us know how it goes with the skin scrapings.❤️❤️❤️

Interested in what you find out. I agree that the white marks look like her pigment, if they aren't raised or bumpy. I'm wondering why the vet wants to skin scrape at all? Hmm

The red bumps look like Ella's they have that red dot in the middle centre area that had the international dermatology community stumped I would recommend a full blood count for other markers. The biopsies and scrapings will be good but I know how sad it is to scar her.

Ickus was black and had several white mystery spots on his sides, even as a kitten, that looked somewhat like your baby's. (Sorry I don't have a picture). The vets did tests which all came out negative. He had the spots forever, they never changed...

On the raw/dry food... If you are lookin for raw that you can leave out- try freeze dried raw. We use Primal and leave it out without wetting it down when we will be out all day.

Hi every one. The vet cancelled on us yesterday as he was speaking to a vet school and sending pics. She's gone in today to double check for mites. He doesn't want to biopsy. He is worried about mites as her sores remain open although regular coconut oil application is helping them. He's also considering urticaria pigmentosa so is taking swabs and scrapes today and givin her an anti inflammatory jab to see if it helps at all. If anything comes back positive she will have biopsys. All very complicated but I will do what it takes to get her better xxx

It looks like some sort of scarring to me, especially being the spots are not raised. If they don't change form, I would surely say thats what it is, scars. Perhaps from the fleas, fleas are itchy and the cat will scratch at them profuosly. Strange to see so many though. What a cutie - congrats! (y)

Hi I was reading your thread and was wondering if you ever found out what the marks are on GAGA?
I have a blue boy who also has these circular scar-like marks, as does all his litter mates.

@Yoda mom this particular baby is called Aladdin, my older sphynx is Ziggy.

He has seen multiple vets at 2 different clinics that are over 50kms apart, all have confirmed not ringworm or ringworm scars. One vet mentioned he'd seen it on 3 or 4 sphynx and that it is natural pigmentation of the skin.
I guess maybe DNA tests might show something, but I think his breeder is going to investigate that with the mother, who doesn't have a mark on her!
Picture of my two boys, and Aladdin's markings.

@nakedziggy thank you for the update .. wow that is a drive ..
Glad confirmed no ring worm.

Manny of us have kitties with varies degrees of pigmentation .
I found my darker sphynx has darker pigmentation spots amd my lighter colored boy does have a few light colored pigmentation .
I moved the cat tree to an indirect lighted area . Some members use window tint.
My adoptee came to me with severe pigmentation that was from over sunbathing .
His pigmentation went away on its own in a few months of the changes I made to limit sun direct exposure

Ziggy amd Aladdin are adorable !
Head smooches sent
