Hello everyone
Need some type of advice.

Marcello who is eight months old stop eating and dry heaves. I brought him to the vet, They found nothing in this x-ray. They think it might be the new kitten? But This started right before the new kitten arrived! He’s Marcella’s emotional support companion named Mussolini.

So this afternoon Marcello has eaten a handful of dry food. I was thrilled!! Then this evening he throws it all up! So I rushed him to the vet once again. They found that his intestines is somewhat inflamed. The radiologist is calling me in the morning with the results but I’m extremely worried. No heart issues, no issues ever. He is sleeping a lot and not acting not like himself.

Prior to introduction of his new emotional support companion ( Mussolini ) we made sure that he was cleared total prior to introduction. When they are together no hissing occurs and Marcello wants to just rough house which is normal play for kittens. Biting , playing with the same toy etc..

Has anybody experience this? or could be knowledgeable on what could be the cause?

@VentrellaJr positive vibes and head smooches
agree with asking about ruling out IBD? any recent change of foods, eating new kitties food?
also, during the holidays...some kitties munch on plants that may be toxic or cause system irritation?

a lair full of prayers and positive vibes
following closely for updates

Thank you everyone for your suggestions & well wishes ! We greatly appreciate tremendously

i’m just going crazy here!!! seeing him sleeping all the time and not Being himself is worrisome!

He will not leave my side, which to me indicates something is really wrong here!! He’s Is normally very clingy but not like this! it’s scaring me.

I’m currently in South Florida and apparently there’s no specialists here. I can’t wait until I get back to Jersey to get him checked out In January!

So right now they’re doing ultrasound to see if there’s any blockage. I wouldn’t think this would affect me so much. GRRRR

and may I say I dislike these vets!! they don’t let you go in the back!! They put a game plan together but it’s all based on dollars & cents. Like they charge you for disposal of a needle. Thsnk god I can afford an animal like this, but it’s really sad.. it’s all about dollars and cents with these vets not the well-being of your animal seriously I get both sides but come on.

@VentrellaJr awhhh hugs we are here for you and your babies...
I am in Florida too but just south of daytona otherwise I would say go to my vet... they let me in the back all the time.

We do have some members in south Florida .. if you like you can start a separate thread for vet recommendations in your s. florida area.
how long have you been down from Jersey to FL ? any chance its stress from the travel? just brainstorming

wish I could have kept a place in NY and here in Florida... it is definitely different here. love it alot but do find the medical system for people and pets a bit challenging based on location.

following closely for update on the ultrasound.... all paws are lair family and we worry and care like one of our own

ps...your avatar pic is adorable on a lighter note I hope you can share pics of your babies!

hugs positive vibes and head smooches
