I've just joined The Sphynx Lair and wanted to introduce myself and my naked kitty to everyone.

I'm "Amazon Goddess" and I live in Ottawa, Ontario (Canada) with 3 beautiful kitties - one of whom is a Sphynx.

I inherited Teeka from my sister about a year ago. She's three years old and full of mischief, love, and the best sense of humour I've ever seen in a cat. She has two older "brothers" who have (reluctantly) adopted her into the family. Hyde & Zeke are half Maine Coons are are SO much bigger than my dainty little girl. That hasn't prevent her from deeming herself The Princess Who Must Be Obeyed and giving the boys hell when she isn't.

I've completely fallen in love with the Sphynx breed. The personality and quirkiness of these cats are wonderful. Even my boyfriend who was NOT happy with the idea of a 3rd cat, is now firmly wrapped around her little paw. Teeka is definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Your cat is cute and you need to have more then one sphynx.

Welcome Amazon Goddess and Teeka! Does Teeka's name have a meaning? It is true that 1 is not enough. I have gotten 4 rescues in the last 6 months after the passing of my sphynx Willow (RIP).

Thank you all for the welcome. And yes, Sphynx's can be very addictive. However, 3 cats is my limit (financially, and time wise) at the moment. But I can definitely see at least one more of these little characters at some point in the not-to-distant future.

Teeka is a blue/grey ... she glows like the inside of a oyster shell when she's freshly bathed. She's a pretty girl and she knows it.

She was already named when I got her last year ... I must check with my sister to see if there is a story behind her name. If I could have, I would have named her "Pandora" because she's full of trouble.

I've been looking through pictures ... you all have such beautiful, happy looking babies! It's great to see.

Teeka is a beauty! I love the blues. When I reserved my seal mink kitten, there was a blue point but she was already spoken for. I wouldn't mind having a blue or a blue point or a.... LOL
