Hello!

Just joined this amazing forum and thought I would introduce myself! My name is Micah and I fallen in love with the sphynx! My hubby isn't entirely on board with the idea, but he's coming around. Hehe. Some of my hobbies include gardening, falconry, dog training agility and tracking, herping, reptile breeding, reading, and researching new things. I recently went back to school in order to get my degree in biology, specializing in animal ecology. I have a zoo that includes...

Sophie - female Shih Tzu
Blue Boy - male Texas Blue Lacy
Bug - male Bearded Dragon
6 Crested Geckos for a breeding project
2 ball pythons for a breeding project (I had about 10 of these guys, but decided I wanted to pursue a different genetic line, so I sold most of these guys off to fund another project.)
Croaky Von Chubbykins - Chubby Frog

I also do lots of reptile, exotic, and wildlife rehab. I am a certified Texas wild life rehabber and am currently rehabbing some white winged doves and 2 baby possums. So you never know what I have! Some days it could be hedgehogs or hamsters and then the next I could have baby screech owls! Needless to say, our life is interesting.

I love new and interesting things, so how could I not love the sphynx! I've been busy researching them and checking out breeders, so hopefully I'll be adding one to our zoo soon!

Wow! That's quite a zoo!! I too have a beardy, a 3 year old male called Brian and have always wanted a ball python.

Yes, I tend to have my hands full, but I wouldn't trade any of it!

I've been randomly bringing up interesting facts about the sphynx to my hubby. I tell him I'm just researching, with no plans to buy... yet....

His main worry is the smell of a cat because he is a clean freak. And I can understand that. After he moved out, his parents let five cats live in the house and they only had one litter box! So you can imagine what that was like. But I've been educating him on modern litter boxes and already have a plan for a litter box to be in my office. And if it's my office, you can bet that I'm going to clean that sucker every day!

So the search continues and I hope to have a new buddy soon!
