I'm in the living room, with the shutters closed -- much to the consternation of the cats.
It's pleasant, cool-ish at about 20C inside.
However, when I went outside earlier (and everyone wanted to come with me...) and looked at the thermometer...
43C in the sun. 35C in the shade, in the barn, that has a constant breeze.
So... no, dear barenaked ladies, you are NOT going out in the sun.

I've put the ponies in the front garden again overnight. It's just too hot for them to graze during the day, they hang out in the shelter.
However, we have a nice cool breeze atm, but good grief is it humid. My shower is steamy -- and no one's been in it! LOL

Well, if anyone needs to cool down I can recommend England, and Leeds for sure! :ROFLMAO: It seems this heatwave has hit everywhere apart from here - we're enjoying a cool breeze, about 16-17 degrees Celsius and lots of rain!:giggle:

9 am in the barn.

12 Noon on the wall in the shade.

12:15pm, after moving the thermometer into the sun. It shot right up...
I didn't take a pic later (too darn hot!) but I went to the flea market this morning, and at 11:30, just before I left, I saw a barometer that had sat in the sun the whole time... reading 55C.
Mine only go to 50C...
I was inside most of the day, even sitting in the paddle pool is too much.

It's funny really... the girls are all crying that they want to go outside.
Meanwhile, we open the top window so they have full access to the car port roof... but they only go out there if either Dave or me are sitting up there. THEN it's great. Any other time? Nope. Not interested. But sitting downstairs at the door wanting ouuuuuut.
I get there is far more to explore on the ground, but... lol.
