OOOh and how i missed my baby kitties SOOOOOOO much!! we just took a 2 hour nap :) it was a long, tiring, AWESOME weekend!!!

Saturday Valerie won Winner's Bitch, Best of Winner's and BEST OF BREED!!! It's our first BIG win together!! Talk about 'on top of the world" :)
Sunday Valerie won Winner's Bitch, Best of Winner's and Best of Opposites!

Wow! Such a GREAT weekend!!!

Valerie has won a major once before with her breeder (he was her handler for a while) and her and I have won 1st in class and reserve bitch quite a few times, but never such a huge win!!

She walked away from this weekend with 5 points in total, 6 more until her championship!

I'm usually not such a "AW" but i know a few of your are exhibitors, and can appreciate this being our first big win together.

(end rant) :)

My Snortgurgle is giving your Bully his "Classy Chick" award for a job well done.
(Not sure if I posted this picture correctly, I have the computer mind of an earwig)

the picture didn't post Nair Bare. Actually it wasn't our first time out. :) she's been showing since 9mon (here and there, like 1 show every 6 months) I've been showing her since October. She's our dog, but i never knew how to show so her breeder (co-owner) was showing her. We've won quite a few times together, but nothing this big :)
Would love to see the picture!! :)

Sucks that they broke the major.

She's a cutie! Now you have me trying to remember some of the English lines I explored when I was researching bullies. I decided to "downsize" and went for Frenchies instead. The thing about a bully is big or small...I love them all!

Where I work, everybody goes nuts for the pretty pups, the ****ers (okay this word starts with a C and refers to the spaniel type dogs with the long curly ears that you frequently see in a buff color...the sensors got me, lol), shelties, goldens. I love those too but boy...a short leg, big head, smooshy face, round toushy bully comes in and I am on the floor offering my service as a bum scratcher! LOL

Thanks Susi!
And Susan, on behalf of all stinky, flat faced bullies, they thank you for their butt rubs. it's by far their favorite thing!! whenever someone is petting Valerie's face she turns around and puts her butt in their face so they pet that instead LOL!!

WOW, but your first BOB is something very special. I hope you get the "show-bug" and keep having fun with her. I would love you to see the picture too, but the computer Gods are not going to assist me. Read the directions but must be doing something wrong. Does it matter if my HTML code is 'off ' in the Posting Rules box? ( And that MAC salesman said everything is easier on a MAC. I'm living proof it isn't.)

Awww, congrats! I went for the Frenchies too- I love the English as puppies, but don't always love the way they grow up. Your baby is very handsome though!

Congrats! I had a english we all adored who was stolen (the neighbor and I chased them but they threw her in a van with no plates) and broke our hearts. I am actually getting a frenchie tommorow who is 7 months.

Oh, "Marna" thats a sad story. I bought Valerie for my fiance' about 2 years ago for Valentines day. Fiance' is VERY worried someone will take Val one day. She is never outside alone. It's terrible that people think they can take what's not theirs. let alone people break into homes.. but to take someones pets... those are our children. heartless. it's just so sad.
I'm sorry for your loss. :(
Enjoy your new baby! Post pictures!! :) (i'm a huge animal lover!)

Marna,

That's awful about your bully. It's one of my worst nightmares! Mine are never outside unattended. I don't care if the phone is ringing off the hook or the neighbor's house is on fire. I don't leave my babies alone for a moment! When I raised my one and only litter of Frencies, I left the house once and my Mom stayed home instead. I'd do it all over in a heartbeat!

So CONGRATS and tell us about your Frenchie? boy or girl, what color, private breeder or one of the rescue networks ? You'll have a blast! Oh, and if you aren't already acquainted with it, try not to freak out the first time you hear the Frenchie Death Scream! LOL They just don't cry and carry on like normal dogs. Block one of mine with a baby gate and you'd think I was killing her!

oh dear- thank god english bullies dont scream like that. Although their bark and whine are too funny to take seriously! i love when Valerie whines.

Frenchies are cute too! A frenchie won best non sporting both days at the show- although i didnt stay to see who won best in show.

Congrats to you and Valerie! that's fantastic news!

Marna - So sorry to hear about yours  that's a horrible thing to have happen but congrats on the Frenchie! I nearly got one before Mug-Y but thought it wouldn't be fair to leave a dog while I'm at work but I hope to have a Frenchie and a Bassett one day.

X

Neat to see how many people show dogs on here also. When I was younger I junior handled Boxer's, it was pretty good fun! Still have 5 of them and just finished selling a litter of puppies some of which will hopefully be in the ring soon!

Congrats on your success so far :)!
