So as i posted before Ray ray and i have become very close but the other day when bathing he bit me and made a very big fuss about the whole thing. Well today when i tried to snuggle him he latched on to my arm and broke the skin he has been acting different towards me now that i'm pregnant....Do you think it's possible that he knows and he is jealous? i mean before he wouldn't let the other cats near me now he won't let me touch him and i'm confused, he doesn't seem to be in pain and he is eating and drinking well so i don't think he is sick, i don't know i'm concerned that he is going to go back to hating me again and i don't think my butt cheeks can take his razor sharp claws again.....:Dizzy:

It sounds like he senses your hormone change or something. I would keep A close eye on him after the baby is born though just to be safe.

I agree that he senses the hormonal changes. Animals sense change in blood sugars and seizure activity coming on so it seems reasonable.

Animals can tell these things (change in hormones etc) I remember watching a program about a dog that warned his owner when she was going to have an epileptic fit. Animals are amazing things.

Have you tried Feliway to help reduce his anxiety? It might be worth a check up at your vets to make sure 100% that he hasn't hurt himself too.

Congratulations on your pregnancy, I hope you have a happy and healthy 9months

I think you're right too - that he knows. Hopefully he'll calm down.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Cats can pick up on things that we don't even know about and they say cats know when woman are pregnant. But I hvn't heard of one biting or turning like that! Cats usually like pregnant women, especially male cats!
