I have been reduced to a human cat tree.

Several months ago, Walter discovered how much fun it was to jump onto my shoulders. Now every time I bend over he jumps on me. Every time I'm washing dishes, brushing my teeth, putting drops in Nelson's eyes, emptying the trash can, putting on my shoes...you get the idea...Walter jumps on my back. It was really cute at first, now I hardly notice it anymore. I'm typing this right now with Walter sitting on my shoulder...

Anyway, I guess he got bored with just shoulder perching because on Sunday morning he ran across the floor, straight at me howling at the top of his lungs, and RAN UP THE FRONT OF MY LEGS, STOMACH, CHEST AND INTO MY SHOULDER!!! Scared the crap out of me but I thought it was funny. Now I wish he hadn't learned this new trick because I'm not safe. I'm being terrorized in my own home. I'm wearing a tank top and I have scratches all up my back because he keeps climbing me every time I stop walking! Every where I go in the house, I have this warm, gray blob of skin leaping on me with his nails out!! :Surprise:

You need to wear a scratching post suit!

The only time Chad gets on my shoulders is when I'm using the bathroom and reach for the toilet paper. I guess since he has to 1 and 2 in a box that I need to be humiliated, too!

Sounds like Leo, I can not do anything witout him jumping up on me. He never puts his nais out so thats a good thing.
Our dog sidney has been having her poop problem more often now and Leo will sit on my back while I clean it? :Dizzy:

No, he was just being playful! He was in one of those moods where he'll be standing in the middle of the room and then all of a sudden jump straight up in the air about two feet and then take off at warp speed sideways through the house...I'm sure everyone here is familiar!

I just sit and laugh when he does that because I have tile floors and he doesn't get traction right away, so for the first few seconds, he's just spinning his wheels in one spot!

I cut his nails extra short last night and filed them...it helped!

ROFL This is the VERY reason I'm glad Oogie was declawed when I got him LOL He LOVES to use my leg as a scratching post, and has tried to take a running leap and grap at me before! Haley just watches him and laughs, she's much more sedate then her crazy older brother!

I know the feeling well! The 2 Nude Boys hammer me all the time with jumping on my back and shoulders. I am amazed at the distance they will try to jump from. Instead of needle tracks I have cat nail tracks all over me. I just keep their nails cut short and hope they jump gingerly instead of the HAMMER jump!

I had purchased the claw covers but thought again when I attampted to put them on the boys. The three of us looked at each other as if we were saying.."what the heck?"

If they could only learn deep tissue massage while they are up there!

oh no! Sounds painful. I can totally relate. Sophie does the same to me. Her nails tore a hole in one of my tshirts the other day. It was a crappy one so I didn't care. If it was a nice one I would be upset- but not at her because I could never be mad at her.

:LOL: Oh my God I do know what you mean by the jumping up in the air 2feet and running round sideways! I can be sat watching TV and then I see Mo leap into the air from being behind something and then disapears again, I call it the snake when he runs side ways.

 That's hilarious...I did the exact same thing. Opened the package, read the instructions, poked the little hole in the glue and then said..."uh, forget it!"

First of all: OUCH! But that sounds so cute! Definitely doing it out of love.

Sometimes I'll encourage Stella to jump from the ground up into my arms. I'll pat my legs and go "Come on! Come on baby girl!" and she'll get so excited and she'll leap and I'll catch her. lol I've been able to catch her several times before she claws the crap out of me to grip.
