@GabbyJ best thing you can do now is being patient. Go sit somewhere, as close as possible and just talk to her. Put some kibbles or treats in front of her.
She'll get used to you and before you know it she'll let you pet her.

Good idea. I’ve been checking in on her and trying not to bother her too much. I don’t want to scare her more. I laid with her for 6 hours and she got close and we played, so that’s good. Thanks so much for the advice. Maybe I’ll read her a book, I need to catch up anyhow.

@GabbyJ , Awhh reading her a book is adorable. Gentle talking and blinking your eyes at her may help. I don't know where I read it but the blinking my eyes at my boy and smiling seemed to build the bond .
When I brought my two boys home onewas very confident and his brother shy ..
Lots of love and patience .. I had a kitty room set up .. I went at his comfort level and camped out with a pillow with him ..
He slowly would peek out then retreat .. It hurt my heart ..
Well, after 10 days it was like a light switch went on! He dashed out all confident and happy . He is the most talkative loving very very outgoing interactive Velcro kitty now .

Stay positive , go at her comfort level .. It's s big new world for her .. I compare it to if I was parachuted into a big new city . Some just take a wee longer

It's a really good sign she is playing with you ! You are on the right track

Thank you so much! If it takes a month, that’s fine by me. I don’t want her to feel forced or anymore uncomfortable than she already is. I am definitely learning patience and moving at her pace. She is surprisingly playful for such a shy baby. I can’t wait until she’s ready to be loved, I want to hold her sooooo bad and give her lots of kisses.

I am so glad I have the support from the whole Lair, otherwise I might be crying right now. Thank you all so much for taking the time to care about my sweet little lady and giving invaluable advice.

No name yet. We are terrible with names. I don’t know why. Lol. She needs a name before Tuesday. The vet always gives me grief about the trouble we have with names

I knew she’d love the heating pad once she relaxed a little. Pure joy when she figured it out.

Hello guys! Just wanted to drop in and say that Mina is doing so well. She’s adjusting quite nicely, although my husband still terrifies her. He’s super tall and imposing, so I get it

She’s bonded with our Beats, our sphynx and loves to play with Linux our little (or huge), Maine coon kitten. She’s basically a raptor since she sounds like one and eats like one. She eats SOO much so fast.

Poor girl also has conjunctivitis, which she’s been on antibiotics for since Monday. Crossing my fingers that no one else catches it, since we didn’t know it was conjunctivitis until the vet mentioned her boogies looked quite nasty. I thought she just had boogies that were drying before I could wipe them out.

I know! Her cuteness kills me. You should totally get one ASAP. They’re personalities are so similar to the sphynx but crazier. Like....a lot crazier.

Hiii! We’re still dealing with ringworm, mostly on Beats. Oy vey. I’ve ordered a new vacuum that’s is HEPA and has a self-sealing bag that I can throw out after vacuuming. They’re all still cute as ever though. Thanks so much for checking in on us and excuse the late reply. My brain is mush anymore. Lol. Mina fits in so well here and she has really brought the best out in Beats and Linux. Our other lady Sephira is just a cruel ice queen, she loves no one but me. Lol.
