Hello everyone!
Been awhile since I posted here, but it turns out my boys swollen lymph nodes were due to what was probably an extreme allergic reaction to food? (Was switching him at the time)
Fast forward, he has developed indolent ulcers on his upper lip and it had been an ongoing thing for months now. He's about 7 months old now, and being treated with a low dose of prednisolone and switched to RC Selected Protien PD (no more soft poos yay!), and we saw some progress for a bit but then it looked like his lip was getting worse again so the vet upped his dose pof prednisolone and also added a liquid antibiotic.
I think his lip is starting to improve once again, although it had been bleeding on and off but I wouldn't be surprised if the dry winter air had something to do with it, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has any experience with this and what sorts of things worked/didn't work for you? It's been a process for sure. I'm wondering if allergy testing might be beneficial and I plan on bringing it up to the vet when we speak next, has anyone here found allergy testing useful?
