So with new kitty (still haven't decided on the name yet) comes home should she be the one locked in a room by herself, or should I put Hibou in the room by herself and let new kitty run around?

    Which is the best way.

Put Baby in the smaller room- give Hibou her normal run of the house, minus the Baby's room.

        I agree also.
Let them meet through the carrier first.

New addition in a room by themselves definitely. If the worst happens and they have something contagious, its so much easier to disinfect one room than the whole house.

Plus, you don't want to upset Hibou. Its her house, so start things properly by sweetening her up, s her nose doesn't get put out of joint, by a new cat taking over her house.
