Is my cat going through separation anxiety?

Since the middle of my pregnancy until a few months ago I have been a stay at home mum. I got my cat when he was 18 months old and I had just started maternity leave. I have recently returned to work back at the nursing home for three afternoons a week I work from 1700-2100. This used to be the time me, my cat and son would wind down together and all snuggle up on the sofa. Now, when I am not home he howls for periods of time when I'm not there. He is close to his daddy but still howls when he is home and sometimes wakes up my son! Does anyone think this could be some sort of separation anxiety?. My cat follows me most of the time and likes to get involved in what I'm doing, sleeps with me or on my robe when I'm away. We have a big four bedroom home so he has space to roam and has plenty of enrichment activities. I really didn't think I would be going through this with the cat! The baby on the other hand has adjusted extremely well! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

@Idontsphynxso : it must be annoying for your husband and of course it needs to stop cause he's waking up your son but I actually think it's cute:).

I think it can be seperation anxiety. @Hairless Blessing did gave you a few good links.
Maybe it helps when you leave something with your smell on it for him (a sock that you wear all day)?

Hope he will learn to deal with you going to work and just enjoys the time you are at home!
