Hi,

My sphynx is now 8 months old and today my husband and I caught this on camera.

It started out of nowhere and ended shortly after he jumped off the box.

Has anyone seen this before? Is it asthma? Was he coughing? And why was his mouth bubbling?

I would say he ate 2 hours prior, so it wasn't food he was chocking on.

Looking for help please! Thank you!

For some reason I cannot open/play your video. The bubbling has me wondering if he got into anything…plants etc? Only one episode and now acting normal? @Moonchik

I've had similar happen every so often... coughing fit followed by totally normal behavior, aka the hairless hairball. Ask your vet and send them your video, of course, but mine just said that the coughing is probably due to dust in the house or from cardboard debris when Prime is delivered/from litter that's ostensibly dust free/drinking water too fast/etc. Seems to be a pretty common Sphynx problem. Not always asthma or an indication of something worse. However, I have NOT witnessed the bubbling part. Monitor it, don't panic prematurely, and talk to your vet! :)
