Is this normal for a breeder ?

I'm hopefully getting a little nude dude at the end of November. This breeder is a real blessing and helped me a lot after the loss of my last kitty. The only thing is when I asked to come see him (shes local) she didn't answer so I took it as a no. I don't want to be pushy because I really want this to work out but from what I've seen on here people say that's a bad sign. suggestions ?

I would not buy a kitten without seeing it at least once prior to purchase, and seeing the mother. It is important to see the set up that they have to make sure your kitten will be healthy and that it isn't a backyard breeder. Just tell her that you need to see the kitten prior to placing a deposit, and to give you some times that work well. Scammers will tell you whatever you want to hear to get your money. Be firm but polite.

Some breeders have a closed cattery to avoid bringing in disease etc. this means no visitors until kittens are fully vaccinated at about 12 weeks of age.

Just ask when it would be okay to come see the kitten, there's no reason they should be put off by that unless they don't have a kitten. If they want to wait until they're vaccinated or something that's fine but generally kittens aren't bought without visiting at least once first especially if they're local and deposits are generally placed after seeing the kitten so if they're not okay with it or ignoring it it's probably a scam.

I'm getting my kitten from a closed cattery and I'm fine with that. He doesn't have to be paid in full until pick up but I did put a deposit down. I'm allowed to visit after first vaccines are administered but not before then which I completely understand. I feel that breeders who wait until this point are being nothing but responsible, illnesses are no joke.

I found my girl I Mae at a breeder in
Oklahoma. I talked with the breeder
found out more and put a deposit down and paid a week before I got her. I also paid to have her shipped to me. So do your homework.
Sometimes it's not always possible to visit. It's just to far. That's why it's best to make sure the breeder is reputable. I know you said you live close. I would ask if you could visit the baby when it's safe for their health.
