Hi everyone.

I’m looking for some advice on what options are here. We rehomed our kitten Mo early last month and him and pab have got on so great. However we are having some issues. I’ve taken him to the vet and had him wormed and she said he’s in great health. He’s peeing and pooing everywhere outside his litter box, when he uses his litter box he drags poop everywhere! He is SO vocal, we live in a small flat building and we have had neighbours complain about his meowing during the night. We don’t own the property we live in and he’s trashing the place up. He and Pablo sleep in the living room and Moët howls to get out all night. We can’t bring him into bed because he drags poop all over our bed and room. It’s causing a lot of issues between me and my partner the stress of it all and I’m not sure what to do. We have waited to give it some time to settle but it’s been almost 7 weeks and still no luck.

Is the poop runny? If so you might look at changing food. Your other cat’s poop is fine? Are you cleaning areas with enzymatic cleaner? If not they often will keep going in the areas where pee/poop has been. How many litter boxes do you have? I’d add another. Do the existing boxes have lids, if so, I would remove the lid and give them a choice. You can also try kitten attract litter. As far as crying is it they are hungry or bored? If hungry I would feed before bedtime and schedule hard playtime with them to tire them out.
