My hubby got a call about a baby deer in the road today, he went out and it ran right up to him, so he brought it home, of course, lol. I contacted our local wildlife rehabber, and turned her over, but not after posing for pics of course:ThumbsUp::Laugh: She is less than a week old, not dehydrated, but very thin, her eyes are gummy, and she had diarrhea. poor baby, but the rehab lady thinks she will be fine. Its PAWS animal wildlife sanctuary on FB, they should be posting about her. I am going to volunteer for them and help with rehab when I can, since they always end up with me anyway, lol

Anyway, I thought you guys would enjoy seeing her, she was soooo freakin cute!

OMG I would have a hard time giving up that baby! I used to always have people bring me baby racoons and squirrels, and even once a baby llama but never a deer! I love having babies! Keep us updated!

Oh my goodness, that is amazing! (It's a real-life Bambi!) She is gorgeous and your little boy looks so sweet with her cuddled in his lap. See, you shouldn't have posted this, because now I want a baby deer! Would it be crazy for me to own a deer in the city?) And that's wonderful of your family to help her out. (Oh those white spots and her face are just too precious!)

Holy Moly! That is incredible. I love the picture of you cradling it in a one arm football hold. Such a pro. I'm so impressed. Bravo!

lol, we have always lived in the country, so I have raised my share of bambi's. I knew that I do not have the facilities to contain a grown deer, so her best interest was in a sanctuary, however pictures are a MUST!

My daughter was laughing, because I delivered her in my minivan with a bumper sticker that says "Bambi makes cute sandwiches" I don't eat deer, just thought it was funny, lol

She is so cute.
I am glad you saved her.
When I was a kid the deer would come right up to us.
The sad part is so many were hit.

What a cool opportunity~ What kid has the chance to cradle a fawn in their lap? Thanks for caring about this little helpless creature.
