I think this will help a lot of people, who, is trying, everything else.

About a year ago, Izmae started throwing up some off and on.
I didn't think much of it. She started, throwing up more.
I thought it was a allergy to Chicken. I changed her to a new food.
She started doing alright. Then, she started throwing up again.
Plus she was constantly licking her stomach.

So much she had it chapped bad. I took her to the Vet.
He gave me a antibiotic ointment. I used it, it was gone in 2 days.
It went alright a little while and she started licking her stomach again
and throwing up.

I called at the Clinic, told, the lady I talk to. I wanted to bring Izmae in for
her blood to be drawn. I wanted her to be allergy tested for everything.
So, I took her in, they, drew blood, sent it off, took 10 days

They said it could take 7 to 10 days for the results to come back.
I called them, in 10 days. The results were in. I had to take her to the office.
She is allergic to
Grasses
1. Perennial rye grass
2.Ragweed mix weeds
3.Sage weeds

Trees
1. Willow
2. Elm
3.oak

Molds
1.Alternaria
2. Consortium

Inhalants
1. House dust
2. Litter dust
3. Mite mix

Indoor
1. Wool
2. Sisal
3. T. Putrescentiae

Food
1. Lamb
2. Milk
3. Eggs
4. Soybean
5. Yeast

So she has a starter pack.
Red, blue, and green of serum.
She had her first two at the Clinic to be sure no side effects.
Now, I give them myself.

She has so many every 2 days, then, it goes up to 4 days, and so forth
until, she get's to where she has 1 every month.
That's for the rest of her life.

They also, gave me a list of foods she can eat wet and dry.
To make it easy for me.

I have her on Royal Canin, perscription Greene peas and Rabbit.
Wet and dry. It's expensive, yes, there are other brands, I can use
without a prescription, I can get at petsmart or order. But, she is doing
great and I am not switching her again, unless, she would develop allergies
to this food.

So don't think, it always, I'll just switch food. I'll just change shampoo.
There is so much, they can be allergic to.
When, they, are broke out, itching, licking, puking, diarrhea.
Don't let your pet ( baby ) suffer, don't waste time, switching all these things.
Go to your Vet and have ( blood drawn) only. Then, sent off to be checked for allergies.

It cost me $325.00 for the test.
$170.00 for the serum starter kit
I don't know what the monthly price will be for one vial of serum.
For a once a month shot.

Her food is $60.00 per bag of dry
The wet is $60.00 for 24 cans.
Yes, I, can get, good, cheaper food, that, she's not allergic too.
But, this is what she is been on for 3 weeks now and I'm not changing.
She's been through enough.
Also, thanks @Yoda mom Dr. Elsey's premium dust free litter.
Is totally dust free. I love it. No perfumes, clumps.

I am so sorry that you've had such problems with Queen Izmae and her allergies. We may have to do the same with Queen Cleopatra soon. Our ladies have dairy allergies in common--Cleo is so allergic that if she has any dairy, we end up in the emergency vet for epinephrine.

Please give our best regards to Her Royal Highness! Cleo sends all of her respects and regards. Good luck to your new regime.

It is great you were able to get tests done quickly and narrowed things down for Izmae so you know what she is allergic to. Hopefully she will not have my flare up and will be comfy. You are a good Mommy.

@Hairless Blessing oh wow, this is a great piece of information about allergies. I'm so sorry that Izmae hadn't been feeling well for so long until it was all figured out. Liam and I surely pray that all will go well with her new food, litter and allergy shots.

Unfortunately there are so many other things she is allergic to that can't be avoided, but hopefully the shots will help her. Just along she's not vomiting and itchy so she can be comfortable and you can not worry so much. Izmae is surely loved at home and far away by Liam. oxox
Thanks for sharing this journey. I'm glad it's nothing horribly serious and by you having this blood test done it quickly put everything in perspective for the right plan to get her feeling better. :)

Thank you all
Yes, when, she get's to the 1 every 30 days for awhile, she should be fine.
But, she has been doing great, like i said. So, when we work outside
or on the farms, we take all our clothes in the garage. Leave them
there. Jump straight in the shower.
Because we carry this stuff in on our clothes when, we are out like that.
She would go on the Patio some. That has stopped too.
But, we've got this now. I have faith.

@Hairless Blessing and don't forget your hair too. Either cover your head or you'll have to wash your hair as all those allergens will be all over you like glue. I have faith too. I know Izmae will be ok because of her wonderful Mommy and Daddy. :)

Oh my goodness. Precious Queen Prissy Priss!!!! So glad that you have it under control though... or will have soon.

This is great information. My vet suggested that if we rule everything else out, we should consider allergy tests for Max. Here in Canada they are pretty pricey and while I do have insurance, we want to try one thing at a time. Any way...

So glad you have a resolution. All those allergies though. HUGS!!!!

Wow that's a long list of things she's allergic to. I'm sorry to hear about this. But Izmae has one of the best mommies there are and I know you'll do everything to keep her healthy. Hope Izmae will feel better soon now you know what is wrong.
Sending positive vibes. Natasja

Thank you for that great information @Hairless Blessing!
Izmae is like me...lol. I started immunotherapy a few weeks ago. I get 1 shot every week for 8 months, and then 1 shot every months for 3.5 more years. It's a long process, but worth it!

I thank you, everyone. Izmae has not been sick or had any episodes
in four weeks. She is doing so great. Getting more prissy, than, ever.
If, possible  she, doesn't even care, that, I give the shots, to her.
I have to rotate in the scruff of her neck. I'm so grateful, I went ahead
and had the blood test done.(y)

Thank you for sharing this.
We had blood allergy test done on one of our sphynx but vet didn't offer serum treatment.
I am interested in it to see if it might help Anna since you have had such good luck with it.

Yes, there was a list similar to the one you had posted.
Specific trees and plants
Poultry and eggs
And other household allergens
Are what I can remember off the top of my head. It has been almost 3 years since the test was done.
The tst was done on Ki but she has since passed but, Anna has bad allergies and I would like to do more for her.

@Hairless Blessing , thank you to you amd the Queen Izmae for sharing the information to help others too-
Healing vibes sent - glad you like the dr elseys unscented litter too :) for Izmae -

Toby's vet visit yesterday was diagnosed to include congested nasal passages from allergies -
She said it can be airborne - or seasonal - anything even opening the door going in and out -
She said it is bad this time of year right now here in Florida - Toby never ever had this before .

@Hairless Blessing , @NinaGato ,My old school vet told me to give him Chlor tabs antihistamines 1 x day for two weeks and follow up with her - apparently Toby is reverse sneezing nasal congested

My vet she likes Chlor tab (chlorpheniramine ) antihistamines (small yellow pill ) better than some of the other antihistamines out there -
Just wanted to pass it on as info you can *ask your vet about if these would be an option too
We are giving it for next two weeks - will update

Equate: Chlortabs Tablets Antihistamine, 100 Ct - Walmart.com

Just saw 1-800 pet meds carries it too and even had a great 5 star review by a sphynx mum

Yes, it's injections. Of what she's allergic to.
The starter kit is three different bottles. You start out on one color
every two days, then, second color, ever so many days, then, the third
color works up to taking it every 30 days.
Then, her refill will be one every thirty days. She will be on this
the rest of her life.

Izmae, will only be on injections, because her allergies

I just want to get to the once every thirty days. That will be in
July, probably. But, she is doing great. Thank the Lord.

I can't understand why she's not on shots? She needs to be.
I'm sure she is suffering, from them. Unless, she could be on the
serum that, you would put in her mouth. Izmae's allergies is to bad
for the serum in the mouth. I would talk to your Vet about all her allergies
I'm sure they have a copy still and ask why she isn't on shot's or the serum
taken by mouth.

Did you go to a regular vet for this testing and for the injections or was it a specialist? What exactly are the injections made up of or what are they called? Thx

I know for a human (since I am going through this myself) it a serum of what you are allergic to. You get injected with it in various dosages and strengths so your body can build up a tolerance to what you are allergic to. If you look up immunotherapy in humans, it would be a similar thing and explain what it's all about @ArlosMom

Ah, yes.. that makes alot of sense. Ok.. I just wanted to specifically ask my vet about this type of serum/therapy.

Thank you!

Thank you!

They start out in small doses of what they are allergic to.
Then, increase it gradually. To get their system immune
to the allergies, so, they, won't bother them, like they do.
Some can completely get off the shot or mouth serum eventually.
But, Izmae's, is so severe she will always have to take one shot a month.
