We have a very special girl up for adoption
This is Joey!
Joey is a young (we guess 2-3 years) sphynx. She was found as a stray (unusual for this breed, but it happens) and all efforts were made to find her original family. She spent 30 days with her finder before coming to us as a foster. We got Joey spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV tested (negative).
Joey is a very affectionate cat
. She’s actually “very” everything! Very athletic, very vocal, very silly, and very sweet! She’s also very high maintenance (compared to furred breeds). Prospective adopters should do their research and be prepared to discuss your plans for her grooming, hygiene, and veterinary care in your application. Sphynx upkeep can be time consuming and expensive.
Joey is currently enjoying her kitten foster roommates, but her interactions with dogs and adult cats have been more complicated. She will need slow introductions and an adopter who is ready to put effort into helping everyone cohabitate. Joey has loved all adult humans she has met, but would prefer a home with older or no children.
We are located in Sacramento, California and we require that Joey’s adopter comes to us. We do not do first come, first served, but rather will select the best possible fit for Joey. This is a popular breed and we hope to receive some great applications
Additional info can be found in the adoption application* here: https://airtable.com/appIgNtBsmmxL.../pagOk3ZR1auzE12gq/form
Thank you for understanding that we put the needs of Joey (and all of our fosters) first!
*I understand that this group limits adoption fees at $250. We are okay lowering her fee to $250 for an experienced sphynx adopter.
