I saw a link to a how to bathe and clean the ears video from the Lair on someone else's wall in Facebook-thought it was a great video and wanted to learn more. I had joined a few other sphynx sites but they weren't active. I asked a question and NEVER got it even acknowledged there. So I joined the Lair and this place was love at first sight for me!

I found the Lair when I saw a video on Youtube promoting the very first Sphynxlair picture contest. So I joined up and entered Butternuts and lo and behold, he won.

At first I think there might have been 2 or 3 posts a day. I was worried sphynxlair was doomed. Then Admin and his wife spent alot of time finding new members. Needless to say, I'm not worried anymore.

I searched for a place to ask a medical question. At that time, though, the Lair was just a skeleton so I didn't join. Months later I got an email about the Halloween contest and decided to come back and give it a second try. It had grown tremendously. I remember that I was camping with my sister and I had just woken up. I was checking my emails on my cell & I said, "SphynxLair is having a costume contest!" She said, "Who's Sphynx Larry?!?!"

I was looking for Sphynx rescues in the New England area and a Google search pulled up the Sphynx Lair rescue/rehoming board. After that I was hooked, but lurked for several weeks before joining.

Facebook. was adding Sphynx people and i think i added them... and kept seeing posts but it took me months to linger over to the site. i thought it was just a facebook site. and i'm HOOKED now!

I search Sphynx cat forums about 4 days after I got Snuffie and found SphynxLair! I was a little confused by the lay out at first but It didnt take me long to figure it out. Im so glad I did!!!!

When I was first doing my research on sphynx cats (before I got Piglet), I befriended El Gato anf Butterball on Catster.com and Facebook. After I adopted Piglet, El Gato told me about this site and it sounded pretty cool, so I decided to check it out....so glad I did!
