Hi everyone! I’m a new sphynx mom, I’ve had my kitty for about 2 months. I live in California and the winter is coming quickly. I have clothes for Cersei but I’ve heard keeping clothes on them while you’re not home or no one is supervising is dangerous. I was wondering if any of you have any tips on what I can do to keep Cersei warm in the winter while I work/at night? I currently have a regular fluffy bed for her and quite a few blankets! But I feel like I need more. Thank you so much everyone

Hi we live in the UK and have lots of warm fluffy blankets and cat beds scattered around the house. WE also have thermal blankets that are made for dogs and cats that reflect their body heat and get really warm plus sometimes use hot water bottles with protective covers. They always seem to be able to find their own warm spots x

We’re Californians who moved our Sphynxes from the Nevada desert to the cold Midwest. And we never use clothing for warmth. Instead, we have small alpaca and sheep skin rugs, blankets, wool afghans and shawls, and their most-loved feature, floor-level heat vents. We’ve put a chair over the dining room vent, and the alpaca mat is under the chair. A blanket over the seat of the chair creates a heat tent. Whenever the heater goes on, Cleo and Marcus both head for the tent.
When we lived in Nevada, our heat vents were at ceiling level, so we built shelves to get them up to the living room vent-12 feet from the floor.
I hope this helps. Here’s a picture of them arguing over the ceiling heat vent one winter.

If your baby is jumpy then it could be dangerous for them to have clothes on all the time as they risk to get stuck and injure themselves while trying to escape. Some of my followers on insta never even undress their babies as they are an absolute couch potato, and doing nothing but sleep and eat. Agree with comments above, however, blankets is a good solution if you are worried, and don't fret, sphynx cats are known to roll into blankets themselves. If you don't lock your bedroom from your catto, he/she will even crawl under the duvet.
