kinda broken iphone

my iphone fell into the water bowl & now the sound wont work:ThumbsDown::Angry: I called the tec people to see what they said all I can do is hope its better in the morning & it dries up more. I asked how much for a new 1 if it doesnt get better they said 500$ for the iphone3gs!!!! CRAZY:Shok: So if its not better im not going to spend that much $ ill just cancel all my mins & only text & go online because i cant hear anything when im on the phone:Cry: im so upset:Cry:

That stinks! our son drops his phone in the lake and river when he goes fishing and so far they have all dried out, make sure you remove the battery and let it sit on A towel to absorb all the water, it takes A few days sometimes but I think you will have some luck.

Under ideal conditions, one would take out the battery, and let the phone dry for several days...

I don't think the battery is removable from an Iphone(not sure?)

I'd reccomend turning it off, and putting it in something desiccant for at least 24hrs-- dry rice/tupperware container should work.

It's working!!!!! I'm so happy I could cry!!!! I was nervious because the iPhone dies not come apart or the battery bit i got lucky!!!! So happy!!!

Fester beat me to it!! I was going to also suggest putting it in rice, which is supposed to draw out the moisture. A really good tip in case that happens to anyone else!

Glad your phone came back to life! I think I would die if my iphone broke. :Sweat:

Glad to hear its working! I can't function without my iphone so I can imagine how upsetting it was!
