I posted a little while back about the 1/2 sphynx kittens on CL, we are supposed to go pick ours out on may 7, they will be 8 wks old, I know, i know, but she didnt want to keep them for 12 weeks. we will have them isolated in our bathroom for at least 2 weeks, with food water litter and a crate bed with blankies and heating pad, they do have some fur, but bald heads, lol. My husband says it looks like they have mange:Surprise:

My question is they will not have had any vacc. I read on here about some vacc that should not be given to sphynx, Can you guys tell me what kitten shots you recommend? and what schedule?

Oh....and did I mention, I think I am going to get two instead of one?

It's been a while since I have had a young kitten, any other new kitten suggestions are welcome!

I would only give the 3 in 1 distemper and a rabies shot.
Start doing the distemper shots when you get them.
The rabies shot should be given at 4 months.
My sphynx get the purvax distemper and rabies shots.
They are safer then the other shots.
Do not give the leukemia shot.
It is even in the contracts of my cats never to give that shot.
It also killed my Lucy.

I agree with Mews the distemper and the rabies as far as vaccines go. Also because of their age I would also de worm them. You can get the stuff from your vet and do it at home 2 times 2 weeks apart.
Congrats on the soon to be newbies and I can't wait to see pictures of them, sound very cute. Also we need to know what they feel like regular cat fur or soft sphynx fuz?
