Me tooI'm considering buying some since all of the great advice from you guys is convincing!
Our vet recommended lysine for alllergies. Our boy has major sinus issues. We are also giving him Zyrtec everyday. It has helped but not relieved his symptoms. Are there any other suggestions to help him with the mucus?I just answered your last post and happened to send you a link about L-Lysine. I definitely would say give it a try. We are using it as a maintenance here with our crew.

@lovessphynx , welcome to the lair -
What's your boys name?
Hope you can post a thread introducing him! Luv to see pics!
Did vet allergy test him?
Ideas what he is allergic too?
Other symptoms ? Rash etc?
I a, sure others will chime in with allergy relief suggestions
As for l-lysine , I give 1/4 teaspoon mixed in wet food
They recommend 250 mg for maintenance
590 mg if symptoms present
I use the Now brand - about $13 for a lb container
There are several good brands - just be sure 100% pure l-lysine
Btw, my 4 hate the ensyl-f paste version pump I bought at the vet for $27
@hardware, I found this tomlyn -
Tomlyn L-Lysine Powder for Cats and Kittens 100g
Family owned Company and code for free shipping over $19 and seems good pricing
( I did an order last week and had it in 3 days - so checked here first )
A reviewer made the same mention of the product comparison
Thank you for sharing
I just got some samples from my pet supply store. My girls love them. Doing research on them tonight... I gotta know.I give Elise 250mg daily, in the form of treats. Speaking of, does anyone else use the clover brand 'Spry' l-lysine treats? Elise goes absolutely NUTS for them,... Any opinions?

is this supplement a common one among ALL cat owners or just the naked community (LOL). Meaning is it more important for Sphynx cats to have rather than a domestic short hair?
