Hi Canadian Lairians :)

Just thought I would mention that Costco.ca has started carrying the Litter Robot III (Open Air).
We purchased one in May (not from Costco) and we LOVE it! So do our sphynxes!

So I just thought I would mention it as it would be easy to get online from them, and knowing that Costco has such a great warranty...if you don't like it, return it. Haha

I'm thinking of getting one. How is the litter tracking? The only thing that puts me off is litter tracking and i hate using clay litter ;-/

There is a step with a rubber mat that catches a lot of the litter...but it does still track a bit of litter, especially when they decide to jump out. But we have a iRobot Vacuum that we use, so it picks it up daily for us. :) @Marcin92

@Nicolemorgan that's great that Costco.ca sells the Litter Robot. I just did a quick search for our Costco.com in the U.S. and it's not coming up! There was another product you and I talked about many months ago that Costco.ca sold, but not Costco.com. I can't recall what the product was at the moment, but this is not fair. LOL

You are right @GoldHazel, it was a teeth cleaning product for animals.
So strange that the same company sells different things in each country. Perhaps Costco.com will get the Litter Robot some day!! I mean, it is an american product.

@Nicolemorgan yes, I was thinking it was something like that, but it didn't come to me. LOL

I still don't think it would work getting the Litter Robot here because Liam is peeing higher than ever very often. :( I can't help wondering if he's doing it more often nowadays since the summer when Simon was freaked out and didn't get along with Liam or me. Simon did it again weeks and weeks ago, but only lasted one night that they had to be separated and he didn't hate me that time. So I wonder if Liam is peeing so high up cause of a dominance thing. He was never a squatter when he peed, but nowadays he sometimes gets up on his tippy toes and pees way up high. I'd love to get a Litter Robot otherwise, but I know that I'd be cleaning pee off the floor very often and I can't tolerate that.

Oh no @GoldHazel, that's so sad that it happened again. Thank goodness this time it was only one night!!! Do you still have the Feliway diffusers in your house? Perhaps the peeing up high is a dominance thing.

One thing I will say about the Litter Robot, is that the type of opening it is would make it pretty difficult to pee outside the litter. I only say that because Gatsby has always liked to pee on the edge of the box. He takes one step in and squats. In the regular box, sometimes it would go over the edge, and he didn't even mean to. The setup up the Litter Robot, because its a big dome, he has never been able to pee outside of it, but he does still pee on the edge, but it's down so low because of how it's set up. I guess it's kind of hard to explain if you haven't seen it in person, haha.

But I do agree, you don't want to be cleaning up pee on the floor often!

We have the original litter robot and I have been thinking about upgrading to the new open air, it would be a bit roomier for my male Hubbell. I surely hope Costco US gets them too. If anyone sees them in US stores please let us know

My original one is a refurb unit direct from Litter Robot so thats probably the only way I will be able to swing the new one too

Wonder if anyone would buy my original on Craigslist, I deep clean it every few months and might even still have the original paperwork
