Litter Robot users

I have 2 small sphynx kittens and have recently gotten a new Litter Robot. I have read SO many good things about them, but I am having problems with mine smelling. I mean it smells worse than my regular box.

I have tried different litters, I empty it daily (even though it is nowhere full), taken it apart and cleaned it.... What am I doing wrong? Why does it smell? It seems to be just coming up from the drawer. The globe itself doesn't seem to smell.

Any ideas? What litters are you using?

Just a thought and I really have no clue but,,,maybe try putting some baking soda into the drawer only..maybe that will help cut the smell down??

The only time mine got smelly like then was when one of the seals was missing. Are they there? I think it smells way less then a regular litter box, I just ordered a 2nd one. Check for those seals! I know one of mine fell off and I had to get more because it smelled really bad without the seal. I use tidy cats 24/7 performance or something like that. Yellow bucket, red lid.

Yes it is soooo worth it! Another thought I had is maybe they are peeing outside the box, near it. I know we had some adjustment time but now they prefer the robot over the regular one. I just ordered the 2nd robot to replace the regular one because they do still use that one as well.

I LOVE the way the litter robot works - I just can't figure out why mine is smelling so much. And yours doesn't actually smell? I have cleaned and cleaned and have changed litter a couple of times and I am convinced that the smell is just coming out from the drawer for some reason. I just can't figure it out why. But I am not ready to give up yet!!
