Looking For a Sphynx (VA)

Hi everyone,

I've been doing a lot of research for a year now and stumbled upon this lovely site a few days ago. Lurked for a few days and finally joined today.

Info:
I'm a single person with an older dog (Doc - 9yr old rescue) living in an apartment. I've been looking into getting a Sphynx for a year now, but never did due to my job at the time. I've settled into Virginia with a new job and apartment last year and am finally ready to bring a hairless friend into my home.

I grew up with rescues my entire life, and my job allows me a fair amount of time off. I'm okay traveling a little to meet

I'm nervous as this would be my first cat; age and gender aren't of concern to me. Cat has to be okay with dogs

I joined here with my first over a decade ago and never looked back. we are here for each other every step of the way on the sphynx journey. we gotcha. I waited 15 yrs for the right time . all paws are family. love to see a photo of Doc. I adopted 4 sphynx, including a bonded pair from a member that love dogs. My nakids loved my rotties and now aussies. so amazing to watch them together.
I swear sphynx are cat dog monkey baby all in one and very velcro.

the links shared by catzzzmeow in your introduction post very helpful when I was looking at ads outside sphynxlair. do not hesitate to pm me any ads you are looking at outside sphynxlair for an extra peek for red flags.
stay active with us and check often. they go quickly to forever homes. (for info the maximum rehoming fee on SL is $250 each or less.)
I always try to help hearts align and will tag you in posts too.
all paws crossed the sphynx stars align. a nakid will be blessed in your heart and home. (stay positive, my 4 adoptees came to me all within a few months. )

sharing another option is to contact reputable breeders for their upcoming retiree list. I adopted a 2yr old cuddly retiree.Claire Bare. she came HCM scanned, spayed and lots of extras. I stay in touch with her first mum regularly. her first mum just sent a surprise 13th birthday package for ClaireBare.
