Hello sphynx mothers and fathers,

I'm on a journey to find a reputable breeder in the US who breeds sphynx. I had a sphynx at one point in my life, though short-lived. I fell for her adorable face but received a sick kitten from a sub-par breeder.

It's been about 1 year since that happened and I'm ready to put my heart out there for another wrinkled baby. I want to make sure that I get an outstanding breeder this time --- one who scans for HCM, breeds for show quality kittens, and spares no expense for their cattery. I am willing to pay any price and travel across America to make this happen.

If you have any recommendations, please PM me? I've been trying to collect information from all sources, cat shows, sphynx owners, google reviews, the works.

I would also like to one day join the show ring, so any recommendations on what makes a show-quality sphynx would also be welcomed.

@BlueJune hello and welcome. I'm sorry for your loss. I too lost a sick baby girl.

I'm sure members will chime in with recommendations by sending you PM's. But first please share what State you live in (even though you are willing to travel).

We will get back to you. Best of luck with getting a healthy, happy sphynx to fill your heart again.

Hey there! I live near the Dallas area so I'm not too sure about breeders near San Antonio. I also bought both of my girls & my mom's Sphynx off of craiglist so I have never dealt with a breeder.

How far away are you willing to travel for a kitty? I have seen some ads for a few Dallas breeders...

@bluejay1919 I'm willing to travel as far as Washington if that's what it takes. I have seen some breeders in Dallas, TX that I'd like to inquire about. There aren't any breeders in San Antonio as far as I'm aware.
