I am making a post on behalf of @debbie morgan about her cat Luna, who has been having trouble with her skin for some time. She has asked me to make her messages to me public, so she can get some insight from fellow Lairians who may have experienced this, or who have suggestions. Below is her message to me.

It’s been a while since i posted ...when Luna had bad ears

Turns out she had a burst ear drum and was allergic to the ear drops
1500 dollars later...
The soloition was so simple but trying to find the soloition was so hard!

She has now got a new issue ...skin allergy!
She has eaten something over Xmas and had diareeah and her skin has broken out
It’s like elephant skin and peeling...not infected just extremely dry and flakey!

Vets given her a jab of steroids but am stil conceremd
Been using coconut oil it was wondering if anyone had any ideas
My poor little baby :(

Her skin has been so awesome till now

And it’s hot to touch :(

Any help or suggestions would be most welcome! Hopefully she’ll attach some pictures of Luna.

Just a follow up message with a bit more information.

“Yeah vet looked at it and it’s not infected

It’s food allergy

She is extremely sensertive and I laxed over Xmas as she seemed so good and was giving her different foods

Stupid me ...

It’s defo allergy as she got the diareeah also

She is always warm anyway and I’m prob just panicking as have never seen her coat like that

The vet has given her cortisone jab and today I gave her a pendenisol tablet
We already knew she was allergic from her breeder as that’s where her ear infection came to

I just have two cats now and she started indulging in his stuff too!

I was just wondering if anyone had got this expierience with there cats and just help to relieve it for her as my vet says not to put anything on it except coconut oil

It’s hard when u see them in so much discomfort “

@Sheldon13 sorry, the link is broken so I can’t view the page. Is it an old post? I was under the impression she hadn’t made a new one
