Medium Lump on Neck

Hi guys, I'm new to this platform so I'm not entirely sure if this will reach anyone but I hope it will and someone can help me out.

I've just had a sphynx for 2 months; it's about 4 months old now. I love him so much so I'm scared something terrible is happening to him.

Purpi has been not so active today. His movements were rather slow. He was asleep most of the time but still ate his food. Just now I found out that there's a medium-sized lump on the left side of his neck. It's not hard, but he felt uneasy when I checked on it. It's night in here so we can't call our vet right now but if anyone has ever experienced this on their cat, please do let me know.

Oh yes that is worrisome. Could be an abscess. I don’t think it’s an emergency that needs to go to a night vet but you need to get him to your regular vet in the next couple of days. It might need draining and it definitely needs antibiotics.

Or boy had that happen due to a spider bite. I would definitely get a vet check. If not a bite, perhaps a swollen lymph node and that means an infection. @Jimalsi

Now that could be it... We still don't have a mosquito net to cover up the cage. But yeah we're gonna get to our vet asap. Thanks!

100% agree with this. Very important you keep an eye on the swelling. If you notice it increasing and especially if you notice any difficulty breathing, head to the emergency vet immediately.
