Mia diagnosed with cancer

My cat Mia was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor a few weeks ago. It really kind of appeared out of nowhere. Just a few months ago she was in for surgery to get some cysts removed, one from the ear that was looking bad. I posted a picture. And it was not there! Regardless, the medicine I’m using and the Chinese medicine does not seem to be shrinking the tumor.
I love her so much! She’s 15 and I think it’s a pretty long time for a sphynx! She’s been such a good friend. She’s still doing well, eating and interacting. I lost my first cat to lung cancer 15 yrs ago.

@Kalyan , biggest hugs and a lair family of prayers for warrior Princess Mia. I know her world is filled with soo much love and care. That is all she knows. I share in the journey with a pup with cancer and did chinese meds too. I gave him a big head smooch and told him what got this. He had no idea of the diagnosis and only knew love beyond measure and we powered thru each day (which turned into extra years filled with kisses n snuggles). I joined a fb cancer group for support and information. PM me anytime for an extra hug or ear to listen. All paws are family.

Thank you for the kind words. Yes, all she knows is love! And all she is, is love! She doesn’t seem to eat the food with the medicine in it, of course but she will eat her sister mochas food!!
We are just allowing her whatever she wants, food, sleep, cuddles, alone time etc.
She has been such a good friend, so friendly to everyone she’s met and so much love to me. This is a tough one, my first sphynx! Such a SWEET HEART!

I'm praying for your sweet kitty. I'm sure that news is horrific. Know that she is loved and I'm sure you are doing all that you can for her. I hope that you get lots of precious time with her and the vets can help you make her comfortable

Thank you. She passed this week, we helped her to the otherside. She was in my chest the whole time and would not leave me. She would not let go. My heart is broken I never had a cat like her before. Thank you for thinking of me. She has been my primary focus for the past few weeks as she was getting skinnier and the tumor getting bigger. She was such a beautiful soul.

I appreciate it, it has been extremely difficult. There is definitely a presence missing in our home. Her sandpaper kisses are missed even her loud screaming at 4am for someone to open her blanket on the couch or even a sandpaper kiss at 4am. Thank you for your support.

Thank you. She contacted me twice already. Sunday in tea ceremony she said, “mommy mommy, I’m here” it was in her little energetic way. Then a fb memory showed up of her in a sweater her babysitter (Sabrina ) got her. My husband said she is telling you she is ok and happy. I reposted the picture and Sabrina was like oh that’s the t-shirt I got her!! I said… she’s telling us hi!
What a blessing that warms my heart.
