...For those of you who are not friends with me on Facebook, I wanted to share a terrifying story. MiniE has entered the terrible 9 month phase and is getting into and onto everything and anything. The past few days she has been getting on our 18 foot banister and walking around. Every time I've seen here I run up and take her down.

Yesterday morning around 4am (I wake up at crazy hours), I fed the babies and came out on the couch to watch TV and do some work. I heard a scratching noise and saw MiniE fall from the banister onto our tile floor  She got up immediately and ran into the bedroom. I quickly followed, woke up Mark, and found her. She looked fine and was acting normal. Around 8am, I was doing an hourly check and I saw this on her chin.

Off to the Vets she went! She got an all clear from the vet. The thing that frustrated me was they went ahead and gave her booster shots (I didn't go to the vet since I am working from home). So everything was normal until last night around 7pm, she started acting lethargic and shivering. This morning when I went to feed them, MiniE turned her nose up to her breakfast. For those of you who know MiniE, she eats EVERYTHING!!!!!

We called the vet this morning and she is headed back for observation today

Oh man, as if the morning worry was not enough for you guys! Often they get a bit tired...and I am assuming the stress of the morning was also exhausting. I know you would have preferred to get the shot once she was 100 %. Hope she is feeling better by end of day.
Perhaps more chicken nuggets tonight might help.

Poor girl...is it the shots you think that's making her ill? After Giz got shots about 10 months ago he got very sick. Shots scare me to death now :( I sure hope she come around!

(BEGIN RANT): I hate it when the vet takes them into the back to do something and then comes out and says, "Oh, by the way, we also (*blanked*) him." The vet wormed little Eudo without asking on my first visit when it clearly showed on his health records from the breeder that he didn't need worming again!! (END RANT)

Poor little MiniE is probably a bit sore from the fall which may be contributing to her not wanting to be her active self. Eudo says she needs to be "karefill wen she up dere," though we know she really shouldn't be up there at all!

O noes!! Feel better soon MiniE, and don't scare mum & dad like that anymore! Hopefully she'll come around real soon :(
Just hate it when vets do things without consulting first!

Oh no!! My cat Mica did the same thing (on accident) falling from the second floor banister onto the tile, but luckily suffered no ill effect (other than seeming a bit sore) I hope MiniE recovers quick!:)

Ack! Scary. Crazy kitties.. I know if I had a banister Lu would be up and down it all the time- it's scary enough what he does to himself just going nuts on his cat tree. I really hope MiniE feels better soon!!!

Wow! I can just imagine the panic you felt. Poor MiniE! Looks really sore. Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way. Luckily my vet doesn't treat first and then tell me. I hate that. Speedy recovery MiniE!

Oh my gosh! poor baby girl! I hope MiniE feels well soon and I am so happy she wasn't too seriously injured. I get annoyed that vets try to cram everything into one visit.

Keep us posted and you both will be in my thoughts.

I'm glad to hear she's doing better. Falls like those are so scary, my heart drops every time something happens to any of the kids at my house. I hope MiniE stays eating like a horse and her sister watches after her. Now all you need is some green skittles to calm your nerves!

She said she will leave the green skittles to me and @SphynxKid , she wants good ol' chicken nuggets. We compromised and she got Chicken in Chicken Gravy baby food instead :D

Poor poor MinniE! I have a bannister walker too so I feel your pain. I've rescued him 2xs now as he was dangling over the abyss.

Missed the original post - so glad MiniE is feeling better. Looks like a good scrape/bruise on her chin. Glad they took her back for observation and watched her for the day and that she came home better! I'm not saying anything for sure, but I may, or may not have eaten a bag of skittles for dinner on Thursday night.

I'm going back to the UK at the end of June. I will restock and send you a few bags of the lime goodness :)
