My sweet little boy Sheldon passed Tuesday morning. He lived only 5 1/2 years. He succombed to a blood clot from HCM. He was diagnosed in January following a heart failure. I urge Sphynx owners to have their cats screened for this nefarious disease annuallly, before heart failure, while medications can greatly extend a life.

Sheldon was a special cat by all measures. Loving, fun, (human) toilet trained. Mischievous, he thought he was the king of my 3 mini poodles- and he was right!!!! He was never sick, showed no signs of illness until the HCM caused heart failure. Thundering through the house like he was being chased, helping me on the computer, pushing anything he could off tables, shelves and counters. A true cat and a loving member of our family.

Even people who hated cats loved my little boy. He has left a hole in my heart.

@Sheldon , I am so very sorry for the loss of your best friend Sheldon ... My heart breaks for you ...
I personally know all to well this same loss from a clot with my young girl..
HCM has so tragically taken the very best :(

It's devastating .. I wish my (((hugs))) could ease the heart ache you feel .
We are all here for you ...

I know my Yoda Cat is waiting at the bridge looking for Sheldon where they can run together pain free and share stories of all the love they knew in this world-
Hold tight to the best of memories , those same silly antics of sweet Sheldon - try to fill your heart with those moments we wouldn't have missed for the world -

@Sheldon, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Please try to keep his good memories in your mind as Sheldon will always be in your heart.

P.S. I know exactly what you mean about him being King of your three mini poodles because I have two mini poodles and my nakeds definitely rule here! :)

RIP Sheldon, fly high with your wings and play with my Sissy at the Rainbow Bridge.
