Got this beautiful ornamental boy yesterday! Isn't he gorgeous! I've been looking at him all week since the lady put him in the window of the interior shop over the road. Got paid so had to have him! Mo thinks he's lovely too! He keeps touching his silver spots! Thought you guys would also appreciate him.

Lovely statue and glad Mo approves!
Is the statue hollow inside?
I hope you arent offended by my asking.....but Im a morbid type of person who plans ahead and likes unusual things....Years ago I noticed they didnt have very many cool pet urns available so I started using things like statues....for urns.
This idea enabled me to have some really nice statues that actually looked like my pet, or encompassed their personality, to put their ashes in later.
My neapolitan mastiff is in a gargoyle snow globe, and one of my cats is in a "cheshire cat" mad hatter style teapot. I once found an artist that painted and added clay to gourds to make these adorable fat round cats. I was lucky enough to find one that looked just like one of my cats and when she died I used a router to make an opening in the hollow gourd and a bottle cap hot glued it shut..
I was so glad to have something that made me smile and think of her instead of looking at a plain box or urn which reminded me more of her death than her life!!....its kind of funny now but when my spouse and I see a really nice cat or dog statue that looks just like one of our pets, we both think the same thing at the same time....is it hollow inside?

:Hysterical: Well he doesn't feel hollow he feels quite heavy, but not as heavy as he looks! If that makes sense! So I guess he could be. Maybe when Mo's journey to heaven arrives I could look into that! Then when I look at the statue, it would make me giggle! In a heart warming sorta way!

Love this idea. For now we have a small pet cemetary on our property, but I like the idea of an urn in unique items.

That statue is totally awesome. Reminds me of the time my Mom bought two cat statues that weighed a ton and were about 3 feet tall. They looked kind of like black panthers but were modern and not tacky - very beautiful. She gave them to my Dad as an anniversary gift and he was not impressed at all. But Mom had two fantastic statues that stood guard over the family room.

That is so cool! I love the pic of Mo standing next to but not looking the statue in the eye  It's a cat's way of looking but not giving the honor of their full attention. That's how I think of it anyway.

BTW Mo looks so healthy! Weight-wise he looks stellar!

Oh wow! I would've had to snap that up too! I'm a sucker for shiny things!!

Bless Mo, now if Lola picks on him he'll have someone to hide behind!!

X

I know, Ive had him a couple of weeks now and can't stop staring at him! Best ever purchase! Mo and Lola have been trying to include him in their games, I'm just waiting for him to be knocked over!

Thanks, he has put on a little weight! He's looking pretty good at the moment. Not bad for a chronic IBS sufferer! We have his feeding in a good routine now.
