Hey everyone, we're fairly new around here and I need your insight. My Sphynx baby eats a raw diet and I noticed a dribble of blood on his mouth... I didn't think anything of it, I also didn't clean his mouth right away. When he was done eating I went to clean him up and noticed cuts! It was his blood :'( I freaked and looked at every cord he could possibly get to thinking he bit one? I didn't see anything. What do you think? Thanks everyone.

I thought of that. There is bone ground up in it, it was made by my breeder and given to us when we brought him home. He seems
Fine it just freaked me out because I thought he got shocked!

Just keep an eye on it to make sure it heals, and watch for signs of infection. I would think if it was a shock that there would be more redness (like a burn). He got near something sharp, it could have even been something he was rubbing his face on. Hope it heals soon!!:)

Thanks, yeah, I did look up burns and saw it was mostly INSIDE mouth burns. Hm, wonder what he got into, he scared me for sure. I feel like a first time mom, again... Lol!

@Luckless Poppy It must have been gook. Left over food that was on his chin or something. I have a pic of Jouët when she was little. She had what I thought was a scab from what I had no idea (see below)

The next morning it was gone...lol. The joke was on me because I loved the pic and had I known, I would have scrubbed it off...lol. I am so happy it was nothing to worry about after all...whew!

You can see the pinkish line more on the right but they look good. No infection or too bad looking of a scar.
