My almost 5 month kitten suckles on herself and makes bread all of the time. Is she stressed or comfortable?

Nahhh it is just a way they comfort themselves. Many say they do it because they left their mothers too early. We have gotten 5 kittens from our breeder over the years…all came to us after 12 weeks of age…our newest kitten suckles herself just as she goes to sleep at night and sometimes in the morning. They’re creatures of habit and seek comfort. It is not a sign of stress, it is a sign of comfort in most cases.

My Kiwi is 10 years old now and still very occasionally suckles and kneads on a blanket , while purring loudly. She did used todo it more frequently when she was young. We got her from the breeder when she was 14 weeks old. Try not to worry too much x

My angel baby Winona suckles on her back, makes bread and purrs. She's almost 5 months old but I'm concerned she's stressed.

I hope she's just cozy because she does it when she's sitting on me! Is this normal?
my cat is pregnant and still does it....its a comfort thing sometimes caused my the kitten took from his mom to early but other times just a comfort thing....it makes me sad cause I think they need something but they just like doing it...like kids that continue to suck their thumb after normal phases......I been breeding for about 6 years but owned sphynx cats for 12 or more years. Good luck with your baby sphynx wishing you a healthy and happy life with the best babies in the world SPHYNX BABIES
