So I've been looking at this topic on this site and seen quite a bit of varying information. Mostly I was looking at pictures to see if anyone else has had a sphynx with such drastic pigment change as mine. It was like overnight he was 4 shades darker. But this was followed by about 2 weeks of incredibly dry skin. He was flaking huge chunks of skin off at an insane rate it was disturbing. So I took him to the vet and they prescribed an oral anti-fungal for a skin yeast infection but it took so long to get delivered to me. So by the time it came, his skin was just about completely cleared up and he was sooooo much darker.
I am reading that this can happen in black sphynx and it's not usually anything to work about but Flapjack is not even 1 yet. In a lot of the other posts I read, the kitty was much older. This change started happening in December so it's not from too much sun, I live in Ohio. He is otherwise completely normal, he is happy and eating and pooing normally ♀️ it's just so odd!
Please look at the pics and if anyone has had a similar change happen to their kitties please reach out! The first 2 pics were taken about 3 weeks ago and the last 3 were taken about 3 days ago. The last pic shows pretty much the only greyish spot he has left on his whole body on his hind legs which I imagine will be gone soon too!
Thanks!
