Oh, that poor, sweet baby! That second picture breaks my heart! I'm an AKC Chinese Crested breeder and a foster volunteer for an animal rescue group out here, and it breaks my heart to see the condition some of these animals are in! You did a wonderful job restoring her natural beauty--she looks SO much happier! What a big heart you have. Thank you for rescuing that sweet girl. You did such a beautiful thing <3

Thanks for the compliments on her looks, I think she is beautiful! Thats one of the things with being broke, lol, I end up with the critters nobody wants and they are truly the most grateful. Jilli's story is long and she had it rough, but now she sleeps curled up in my bed, and will never know a harsh word again, (until the next time she pees on the floor, lol)

Just as I keep saying there is a special place in Hell for animal and child abusers, I believe there is a special little corner of Heaven reserved for people who rescue these abused and neglected babies and give them the only love and affection they have ever known. God bless you for taking this poor little girl and turning her life around.:Sweet-angel:

Ummmm, she is not far off! When we got her, her teeth were nasty and black, so off she went for a dental, she came out of it with a much healthier mouth but only her 4 pointy canine? teeth left in the front. you can kinda see the bottom ones stickin up in her first pic, lol, it's only a matter of time till she loses them and out pops her tongue! Cresties just don't have good teeth!:Laugh:

your little girl is beautiful and that was such a wonderful thing you did to rescue her and give her the life she so deserves. i almost crieed when i read she was kept outside. i have a cresties, shes going to be 2 in a few days and shes my life. i bought her from a petstore (fell in love) and she was incredibly hard to potty train, so good luck with the peeing as your girlie was kept in a cage.
as for people wanting a crestie, they are very high maintance with the sensitive skin but i guess you all know about skin issues with the sphynx, lol. they cannot be left outside for long periods of time without a tshirt or sunscreen and in the winter they have to be bundled up to go out to pee. i personally love the breed, they are the sweetest and most loving- kinda like a sphynx but a dog

Gucci is gorgeous! I love the spotty babies. The diff I have noticed on skin issues is that cresties get blackheads and pimples quite frequently,as the sphynx do not, Those who don't know, cresties usually have furry faces, ours are clipped. Yes they are hard to potty train, as are most small dogs. mine does very well, unless I leave her loose when I am not home, it's like she gets mad that I left her and pees and poops in my bathroom. so she gets crated when I am not home. The powderpuffs (with hair) do not have the bad teeth issues or skin problems that the hairless ones do. They want to be with you all the time. and are sweet loving comical little dogs. Getting them to go out to potty in rain or cold is a challenge! That's about all I have learned from Jilli, I am sure other crestie owners have lots more to add, she is my only one. oh and they are fun to dress up!

My neighbor has a powderpoof. She is the sweetest little dog. We finally nailed her down the other day and let her dog meet Snuffie. They just starred at each other. lol I love the hot pink hair do! Cool!!!! She can rock it like no bodys business!
