There are 4 kittens 2 are small though and she is worried about them.
The mom is not allowed to nurse them yet because the blood types do not match.
They are so cute.
She tried to give the kittens to Oreo the Devon Rex /Sphynx but she hissed at the kittens.

If the Rex is nursing a litter too- you can try rubbing some vanilla extract under her nose and then dabbing a bit on each kitten (includin her own). That will make it so she can't decipher which baby is which and it will help foster the kittens onto her...

Congrats on her babies though :)

Good luck to your friend and her kittens!
This may seem a silly question, but what do you mean the mother can't nurse the kittens because the blood types don't match? I have never heard of such a that before. I guess that I have always thought that the mothers would always be able to nurse (no matter the blood type...)

Anyways, sending my best thoughts and wishes to the new kittens, and that they grow big, healthy, and strong!

If the parents have incompalable blood types then the babies can not nurse for 48 hrs. Its kind of like the rh factor in people. I would not breed like this because of having to feed them for that long can be hard on everyone.

My friend is going to get a new male because of this problem.
She should have tested first then bred but she made a mistake and she knows it.
