He's insane! The minute it's time for bed he goes crazy. Runs around on are heads, kneeds everything including us, climbing all the furnature it's awful! He's more active at bedtime then he is throughout the day. I don't want to have to lock him out of the bedroom, and I don't want to put him in a kennel if I don't have to. But if he doesn't smarten up he'll be doing one of the two. Any suggestions?

Many need a good hard 1/2 hour of playtime just before bed. Using Da Bird toy or a laser to really poop them out are great.

@paige92 , mine had zoomies too all 4 !
He was ready to boot them out of the bedroom!

Da bird toy and go cst chaser play before bedtime here and

I have a 50x60 soft blankets I put on the bed for them and a jar of treats nearby ( they tore open the bag st night )
I train like a dog at bedtime
I call by name, lift the blanket and put two treats on the blanket
I keep up the blanket treat training amd slowly decrease the treats to none

They are smart ! Now I say bed time , tap on their blanket , lift their blanket corner and they come running to be covered up and go to sleep within two minutes
No more shennanigans

Hope this helps

@paige92 this is no surprise! LOL I went through the same exact craziness at my bedtime. Please check out my favorite sphynx toy list as I have some great toys listed for special play and to wear them out.

This is "FroliCat" by Bolt! It's a terrific laser light toy that is on a timer for an approximate 15 minute time frame where the laser light goes in all directions by itself so your cat doesn't get bored with the same laser light routine. You place it on a table, dresser, fireplace mantel, etc.
This particular toy has been a lifesaver for me especially when I had just one sphynx kitten that gathered up every ounce of energy before my bedtime and wouldn't let me settle down and go to sleep for hours. Once I purchased this toy, I used it before my bedtime when I was showering, etc. getting ready for bed. My kitten got all his energy out chasing the laser light in my room for 15 minutes. This allowed me to get into bed with a calm and tired kitten. Otherwise my toes and hands were getting attacked by him. LOL

@admin, this toy most definitely should have been added to my favorite list of toys and possibly when my two threads got merged to one, this disappeared somehow? In any event, it would be much appreciated if you could add this in post #1 above at the end, right under the Cat's Meow toy. Is this a possibility please? Thanks. @Catzzzmeow since you originally merged the two threads to one, you can help with this please?

@paige92 check out the other toys:

*GoldHazel's favorite sphynx TOY list*

You need to exhaust your kitty before your bedtime. Whatever you do, please don't put your kitty in a kennel. Especially if he's got all of that energy built up.

Awh, he will catch on -
Put the blankie where you want it on the bed
Call him , place two treats on the actual blanket for him to eat , praise good boy "bed time" comand , tuck him in :)
He will get it that its sleepy sleep time :)

@GoldHazel you just need to add it to that existing thread with the other toys if you want. It is not something you need a moderator or @admin to do. Just add a new pic and description. At the end of the thread you created along with the list of what others recommended as well :)

Yes @GoldHazel, that would be easier without cutting up posts and threads. (y)

@paige92 your bedtime sounds very similar to mine. I agree with the playtime before bed although Pierres so stubborn at times. If he doesn't want to play he just won't haha. We do have a cat pen and I have used it when it's stupid o'clock and I'm at work early however I try not too as this was more for litter tray training purposes and since that's going well I try to avoid using when I can.
Simular (ish) to @Yoda mom i place him where he sleeps. He has a bit of a routine now where he sleeps on top of the wardrobe half the night, he then either jumps down and snuggles on my chest or he has a blanket on the middle shelf of my wardrobe (I gave up a full shelf of my wardrobe for him) so I try putting him on the wardrobe and he does settle most times :)

@paige92 lol, lack of sleep can get to a person! Glad everything worked out last night. Things will get better, I assure you.
