I can not wait to get her.
The breeder said she will be ready to ship the week of Sept 14th.
I would like to go to San Diego to get her but my Coco must have her meds everyday.
My sister did offer to check on the cats but she may have to work at night and Cocos be meds must be given at night.
I still have not named my new sphynx.

Yay!! So many of us getting new sphynxes right now!!

It's so tough being on a tight med schedule. When Harold was sick, he had to have his meds 3 times a day...I had to rush home from work and could not even think of leaving town...it was really hard, then again, I didn't mind doing it for him - I'm sure you don't either!

Better get to work on a name!

I am sorry you lost Harold to HCM.
I have asked few show mgrs about having HCM scanning at shows here.
I only do cat shows that are within 2.5 hours from here because I must be home by 11 to give Coco the Norvasc.
I give her the Baytril before we go.
She comes first.
Her fluids i can do anytime so its ok.
She also has other meds she must take.
I will find a name.
I need a name for showing.
You know you can not just have 1 sphynx.

Thanks. I've never had a cat with CRF, but it sounds like its just as much work...Is Coco the long-haired tuxedo in your photos?

Have any of the show managers been interested in HCM scanning at the shows? The show we just had here had to cancel the HCM clinic because the cardiologist couldn't provide the staffing to do it that day, but they were going to charge $150 for it. I had both my cats signed up and another person I spoke to had 8 of her cats signed up for it...there was a lot of buzz about it and people were upset that it got canceled (including me!). It wasn't just the sphynx breeders that were interested, either.

They're going to try again at the next show here in November but I'm already scheduled to have Walter and Helen scanned at the University of Florida next month. If they actually do hold the clinic at the next show, maybe I'll take Nelson and Mandy there!

I have not got much interest from the clubs yet.
UC Davis doesit here.
I think I paid $160 for Coco to have a heart scan,
It was in 2005 because they thought her heart did not look right in some xrays.
It was fine though.
Coco is the longer hair tux in the pictures.
She is 17.5 years old now.
She also is part siamese but you can not really tell.
That is terrible the called off the scanning.
It is so important.
Coco has Asthma and bladder problems also.
She has a inhaler for the Asthma.
I wonder if any of the shows here have the scans.
I want to get Cleo scanned.
I forgot to ask herbreeder what age I should have her scanned at.
My Meeo has a heart murmur and almost died at 3 months of age.
She is now 9 years old.
HCM seems to be in Maine Coons also and some other breeds.

Breeders usually start scanning at 1 year old, but if you aren't planning to breed Cleo and she doesn't have a murmur or anything suspicious, you should wait until she's a year and a half.

I got Cleo as a alter so I will wait until Jan to have her scanned.
I have her 5 Generation Pedigree also.
The new sphynx ped goes to Belgium.
I might breed in a few years after I learn more.
There is alot to learn.
