Need a new name for my new sphynx...

As a lot of you already know, I've just adopted a new sphynx boy kitty from a lady in Denver. He's an awesome cat...he's sweet, playful, and super-friendly. However, I don't like his name "Amo" (sounds too much like ammo). I've been communicating back and forth with his original breeder in Texas; she used to call him "Yahoo" but I'm not crazy about that name either. I'm terrible at picking out pet names, which is part of the reason why I didn't rename Piglet when I adopted her.

Amo/Yahoo comes from impressive cattery lines, so he has a great lineage. His breeder has sent me lots of pics of him as a baby and kitten; I plan to post those pics soon. He's a year old and his birthday is really close to mine; he was born on July 24th, my b-day is July 25th.

I've included some photos of him...please, no fatty names please! He's already lost a little weight since being with me. He enjoys playing with Reno and Piglet (when she lets him).

Thanks for your suggestions....I know there are lots of creative people here on this board!

Jackson (Jax)
Remmington (Remmy)
Adonis (emphasis on A- called him Oppie for short. name means strong warrior)
Zeus
Oynix (mostly because of the coloring and it resembaling one pup)
What helped up was searching website and going through ALL the names lol. Ultimately picking names from our fave shows and a few from the list. i'd suggesting looking at shows/songs you like

We ended up going with
Adnois
Jackson
Phoebe
Delilah

Thanks, kleese, for your input. I like Jackson but that name is already taken by one of his siblings (he came from a large litter). Dallas might be pretty cool, as his breeder lives in Dallas/Ft Worth. It seems to me to be eaiser to come up with cute girl names than with cool boy names.

For some reason he looks like an Adam to me. I like to name my animals people type names. I guess he reminds me of a boy at Johnnys breeders house and his name is Adam but they call him Addie for short.

Cool, you and I have the same b-day! Unfortunately, I can't do Searcy since that was my asshole first boyfriend's name, but the others are pretty good. I like his nose, too; makes him more distinct.

Yes, he's fitting in very well...when Piglet isn't beating him up...LOL! Speaking of available kitties, there is a new sphynx kitty available on the Rescue board that is located in Lone Tree, CO....have you checked that out yet? He's quite good-looking and looks well taken care of and healthy.

Thats what I started calling Johnny! He was Bubba, and then Bubbs then Bubba roo then bubba roonies then its now roonies. I know.....Im crazy!

I call Blue "Bubba" too. Not like the redneck thing, though. It was more like a really baby-talk version of "baby" just got morphed into Bubba. I'm not fond of the name by itself but it seems to fit Blue to a T.

i'm voting again.. because i LOVE LOVE LOVE Leo!!!! love the idea of where it comes from.. i love names with background meaning.

Maverick was also on our shortlist for our pup. love it.. but i always nick name and didnt like "ricky" for a pup (it's my uncles name!)

I named Bronx-e because John and I met at a bar named "the Bronx" but we originally met online "Ethernet/email" ... and John bought him as a gift for me, so i wanted a name that meant something to us.
The girls all came with their names including our dog...
