Hi, my 5.5 months kitten went through his neuter surgery today.

He was supposed to stay with the cone collar for two weeks to avoid licking or chewing the surgery wound and was supposed to be tired and with no appetite. He hated the neutered and was super stressed out, energetic and hungry. I went outside to run an errand and i come back he doesn’t have the collar anymore and I can’t find anywhere.

Anyone has been through this? Should I go buy a new one or will he be ok? Haven’t seen him caring much about licking his balls. He’s just super hungry as always and energetic (I assume because of the pain and stressful day). Please share your experience as I’m a
First time owner here.

They are so smart and not always in the best way LOL. When they are neutered, they usually use a glue rather than stitches so unfortunately it is best to have a come etc. I found this one they couldn’t get off because you can adjust the string. @Lucas

@Lucas, hugs n speedy recovery vibes to Pruninho. sharing when my boy was neutered vet did not send him home with a cone. He did not lick surgery site. I found m males bounce back quickly after neuter . back to their normal self within the week
. keep us updated on your baby boy.
hope you find the original one. do you have dogs that may have chewed it?

Hi, thanks for checking in! I never found the original collar cone lol. I did order a new one that was recommended above at Amazon but haven’t arrived yet, there was some delay on shipping and now is expected tomorrow. He has been surprisingly good in not licking the wound so I think he will be good! His recovery is going well. The first few days he was very quiet and agitated now he’s meowing in the same frequency and seem less agitated so I’m assuming it’s less pain. He is definitely enjoying the two weeks of no bathing!

@Lucas , thanks for keeping us updated on sweet Pruninho. my boy was agitated after neuter surgery , I believe from effects of anesthesia .

so glad he is not licking incision. boys recover quickly in my experience . so happy recovery going well. sorry for the amazon delayed shipping. had a similar experience with a different pet product, once it arrived I no longer needed it so sent it back. although ,having a cone on hand is always a good idea.
lol the mystery of the disappearing cone.

lol I waited for spa day too after neutering. mine haaate spa day.

keep us updated! love to see pics of your baby boy. hugs n head smooches
